In Left 4 Dead 2, Valve made a first for the corporation: character-based sponsorship! For the character Rochelle, a somewhat controversial addition to the series, the newswoman’s pink t-shirt references the hit band Depeche Mode.
Depeche Mode originated was an English band founded in 1980. Their music, electronically-based, is considered some of the most popular synthpop in the world. Apparently, Rochelle also appears to be a fan - despite the fact she never talks about it (or anything else for that matter ;) )!
